DESCRIPTION:\nJoin us on January 23, 2020, from 4-6 pm, at [FireFly](http://www.tcfirefly.com/) for our Member's Winter Social to hear how to get the most out of your membership and learn about all the beneifts available to you as a member.  Non-members who are interested in becoming a member are welcome.\n \n \n \nOur Purpose\nProvide for exchange of ideas, information and expertise among our local estate planning community.\n \n \n \nTwo years ago, after a hiatus of 15 years, the Grand Traverse Area Estate Planning Council rebanded and expanded its mission.  We've worked to provide a new foundation for the Council by broadening eligible members to include attorneys, accountants and financial advisors.  We continue to provide solid educational programs and networking opportunities that pertain to all professionals who advise clients on estate planning matters.\n \n \n \nEstate Planning has changed over the last 15 years.  Whereas in the past a large emphasis was on minimizing estate taxes, the emphasis has shifted to reducing income tax, handling retirement assets, long term health care, special needs and, as always, avoiding disputes in our increasingly litigious culture.  The area of estate planning continues to change and staying current on topics is a must.\n \n \n \nCost:  \n \nMembers:  FREE\n \nNon-members: $15 which can be applied to the 2020 membership fee of $75\n \nDrinks and hors d'oeurves will be provided. \n \n \n \n \n
